Ryanair Sun – a new carrier takes off in the Polish market thanks to WKB’s support
Ryanair Sun, a new airline offering flights to Poland’s favourite holiday destinations, commenced operations in April 2018. Ryanair Sun S.A. is an affiliate of Ryanair DAC, headquartered in Dublin, which is one of the largest low-cost airlines in the world. The support provided by WKB to Ryanair throughout the process of establishing Ryanair Sun S.A. included comprehensive corporate advice on setting up the company, increasing the share capital, and developing corporate governance rules, as well as day-to-day corporate assistance.

WKB assists on the sale of Korona Candles
WKB Wierciński, Kwieciński, Baehr advised BC Bavarian Candles Expansion GmbH on the purchase of 100% of the shares in Korona Candles S.A. Korona Candles S.A. is one of the biggest global private label manufacturers of candles. The customers of Korona Candles include IKEA and (through its operations in the US) Wal-Mart.

WKB advised EQOS Energie Holding on the sale of shares in two subsidiaries in Poland and Czech Republic
WKB, together with the Czech law firm Havel & Partners, advised EQOS Energie Holding S.à r.l. on the process of divesting 100% of its shares in subsidiaries EQOS Energie Polska Sp. z o.o. and EQOS Energie Česko spol. s r.o. to Polish-based Avallon MBO Fund II and Czech-based Genesis Private Equity Fund III (GPEF III). The transaction closed on 11 April 2018.

WKB advised Joyson Electronics, one of the top component suppliers for global automotive manufacturers, being part of a Chinese consortium with Hong Kong-based private equity firm PAG, on the Polish aspects of a $1.6 billion acquisition of the global assets of Takata Corporation.
