Lawyers from Banking & Finance and Intellectual Property & TMT teams of WKB have contributed to the second edition of the International Comparative Legal Guide to: Fintech 2018 – an international compendium of fintech law.
Fintech, i.e. the sector that gathers companies which use new technologies and innovation to gain competitive advantage in the financial market, defined as including both classic financial institutions and other financial services providers, is one of the fastest growing new sectors in the economy. Actors from that sector are regulated, among others, by laws applicable to new technologies, banking and financial institutions, electronic services as well as personal data processing.
The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Fintech 2018, published by Global Legal Group, presents key principles and regulations applicable to fintech companies in 44 jurisdictions, including Poland.
The co-authors of the Polish chapter are Agnieszka Wiercińska-Krużewska, senior partner, head of WKB’s Intellectual Property & TMT and Marcin Smolarek, partner, head of the Banking and Finance practice, as well as Agata Szczepańczyk-Piwek, Monika Obiegło and Matylda Budzyn.
