“A spectacular climb up” the Rzeczpospolita ranking of law firms
In the most recent edition of the annual Ranking of Law Firms, published by Rzeczpospolita, a national daily paper, WKB has climbed the ranks spectacularly, moving up to 6th place in terms of the total number of lawyers, and 8th place in terms of the number of fully qualified lawyers (advocates and attorneys-at-law). WKB and its lawyers also received recommendations in the following categories: Energy law and Public procurement law.

WKB Legal Alert | Further amendments to the act on counteracting money laundering and terrorism finansing
According to information published on the Government Legislation Centre’s website, the Ministry of Finance has prepared a draft bill of an Act to amend the Act of 1 March 2018 on Counteracting Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (the "Act"). The proposed amendments are primarily aimed at implementing the provisions of Directive 2018/843 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) of 30 May 2018 (the so-called 5th AML Directive).

WKB supported a winning team of the Global Legal Hackathon in their participation in the New York finale
For the second year in a row, WKB law firm has become a partner of the Polish edition of the Global Legal Hackathon – a one-of-a-kind marathon programming event aimed at developing innovative technological and business solutions for the legal industry, which will take place on 22-24 February, in Warsaw. All Legal-Tech innovators are welcome to join in.
Developments in WKB’s capital markets practice
Due to the increasing number of projects regarding the issue of securities and involving entities taking part in transactions in the capital market, WKB has formed and reinforced a separate team of experts specialising in capital markets law. The team is led by Agata Szczepańczyk-Piwek, with support from Marta Midloch and Jakub Jędrzejak who will continue to advise clients on matters concerning the public trading of shares and provide legal services for companies listed on the stock exchange.
