WKB lawyers advised Orkla ASA in Polish aspects of a transaction involving the acquisition of a strategic partner for Orkla Food Ingredients AS – a capital group operating in the production and distribution of a wide range of semi-finished food products. The main legal advisor to Orkla ASA was the law firm Advokatfirmaet Wiersholm AS. The partner selected during the process, i.e. Rhône, acquired 40% of shares in Orkla Food Ingredients AS based on the valuation of Orkla Food Ingredients AS at approximately NOK 15.5 billion (approximately PLN 5.8 billion).

WKB provided Orkla ASA with legal support in the Polish aspects of the investment process, assisting in vendor due diligence, as well as coordinating the Polish aspects of the transaction documentation.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2024, subject to meeting typical closing conditions, including obtaining approvals from relevant administrative authorities.
