WKB supported RWE and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer – global advisors to the RWE energy group – advising on the Polish aspects of RWE’s acquisition of Nordex’s European wind and solar power project portfolio. As a result of the planned acquisition, RWE will expand its portfolio of strategic projects by additional investments not only in Poland, but also in France, Spain and Sweden.

WKB provided RWE with support in the legal due diligence of a wind farm under development in central Poland, also assisting in the transfer of Nordex’s Polish assets within the transaction. The main areas of WKB’s work concerned, in particular, energy law, property development and real estate, as well as transactional issues.
