2026 promotions in WKB

We are pleased to announce that, as of 1 January 2026, the following lawyers have been promoted to new positions:

Aleksandra Dziurkowska – Partner

Aleksandra has for many years been one of the key members of WKB’s Competition Law team, with a tangible impact on both the team’s work and its development. She manages, supervises and expands a portfolio of significant WKB clients. She is also highly active internationally, regularly speaking at conferences and engaging in AIJA, where she currently serves as President of the Antitrust Commission. She combines strong legal expertise with attentiveness to people and a deep understanding of clients’ business needs.

Wiktor Iwański PhD – Partner

Wiktor is a cornerstone of WKB’s litigation and arbitration practice. He is recognised for building client relationships founded on trust, earned through commitment and strategic thinking that often goes beyond standard solutions. He is also valued for his cross-practice collaboration, supporting the restructuring team and the Private Clients practice. A respected authority within WKB, he continues to strengthen his professional standing and recognition in both the academic and business communities.

Paulina Maślak-Stępnikowska – Partner

Paulina has for years co-created and developed the IP/TMT practice, with particular focus on media and entertainment. She is a versatile lawyer, comfortable handling complex and innovative matters. Clients are drawn to her strong legal expertise, business pragmatism and genuinely partner-oriented approach. She identifies market trends and effectively leverages them for the benefit of WKB, repeatedly building and leading cross-disciplinary teams. She is also actively involved in internal initiatives and business development activities at WKB.

Agata Miętek PhD – Partner

Agata is a leading expert in labour law. She combines regulatory, commercial and litigation experience, while building strong relationships with clients based on trust and a sense of being well supported. Together with Wiola, she co-leads one of WKB’s most effective, responsive and highly respected teams. In her daily work, she combines advanced legal expertise with team management experience and a strong commitment to knowledge-sharing, including through training, publications and legislative support.

Ludmiła Kitaszewska – Counsel

Ludmiła is a lawyer with broad expertise across infrastructure and public procurement matters. She has built a strong position within WKB and among clients thanks to her reliability, responsiveness and deep engagement in client matters. These qualities are complemented by her substantive legal knowledge and exceptional ability to manage complex, multi-threaded projects for major clients. She actively represents WKB in industry organisations, regularly publishes expert articles and delivers professional training.

Aleksandra Mariak – Counsel

Under the guidance of Dorota Karczewska, Aleksandra has developed an independent and well-established role within the consumer law team. Her high level of legal expertise and business-oriented approach are widely appreciated by clients. She confidently applies consumer law in the context of new technologies and works within interdisciplinary WKB teams alongside lawyers specialising in data protection, IP, IT and financial services. She is distinguished by her analytical approach and ability to translate complex legal issues into practical solutions.

Piotr Wojdak – Counsel

Piotr is a key lawyer within the public procurement practice. Clients repeatedly return to him in subsequent proceedings before the National Appeals Chamber (KIO), and his approach to handling cases attracts even former procedural opponents to WKB. For years, he has consistently built a strong position in the highly strategic defence sector, advising leading manufacturers of defence equipment and technologies. He ensures efficient project organisation and high substantive quality, with his structured and responsible approach strongly supporting the team’s day-to-day work.

Anna Zbierska – Counsel

Although Anna joined WKB relatively recently, she has already established herself as a recognised expert in criminal law in business. She has a remarkable ability to instil a sense of comfort and trust in clients who are often facing particularly challenging situations. She clearly explains legal strategies and the complexities of criminal procedure, combining leadership qualities with great sensitivity. Thanks to her work and commitment, an increasing number of clients entrust their matters to WKB. She actively shares her knowledge through publications, training and participation in conferences.
