WKB lawyers have advised Polskie ePłatności S.A. (PeP) on the acquisition of a majority stake in Team4U Sp. z o.o., owner of a mobile application for point-of-sale retailers, known as SIMapka.

WKB provided PeP with comprehensive legal support throughout the transaction process, assisting with due diligence, as well as negotiating the terms and preparing the transaction documentation, and providing lead and support during the transaction closing.

The team’s work was led by Jakub Jędrzejak and Klaudia Frątczak-Kospin, and its key members were Sebastian Woźniak and Katarzyna Stefaniak from the M&A team, who were supported by a broad team of lawyers working on the due diligence: Aleksandra Burda-Kiryłło, Monika Obiegło, Mateusz Gajda, Katarzyna Wójcikowska, Julia Jewgraf, Aleksandra Bączykowska, Karolina Miksa, Marek Prętki, Konrad Kropiwnicki, Bartosz Łaski and Marta Pałyga, whose work was coordinated by Anna Matsiyeuska from the M&A team.

SIMapka is a free application that enables users to register SIM cards, buy GSM top-ups or gift cards, transfer their numbers between operators, and use financial services such as loans or insurance. The application is accessible on multiple platforms such as a web browser, smartphone, tablet, or android terminal.

PeP is a company in the Nexi Group – a European leader in the area of payments. Following recent acquisitions in the payments area (including the acquisition of operators: NeoTu, PayUp, TopCard, service provider Billbird, and online payment integrator PayLane), PeP is among the top three European payment operators in terms of the number of terminals on the market.
