In the recently published Chambers Europe 2019 guide WKB and its lawyers have been recommended in 18 categories.

Two of our practice areas have moved up: Competition/Antitrust (Band 1) and Dispute Resolution (Band 3).

4 out of 18 recommended WKB lawyers have got promoted: Bartosz Turno (Band 2, Competition/Antitrust), Sergiusz Urban (Band 2, Environment) and Marcin Smolarek (Band 5, Banking & Finance). In this edition Jakub Jędrzejak was also noted in Private Equity category (Up and Coming).

  • Energy & Natural Resources: Band 2

Individual recommendations for Jerzy Baehr (Band 1) and Maciej Szambelańczyk (Band 4).

Maciej Szambelańczyk is described by one commentator as a “valued expert in the renewable energy sources market,” while another characterises him as a “very bright lawyer.”

  • Environment: Band 2

Individual recommendation for Sergiusz Urban (Band 2).

One client emphasises Sergiusz Urban’s ability to “explain complex issues and answer ad hoc questions,” adding: “We also appreciate his practical experience of other industries and sectors.”
