WKB advised the Management Board and minority shareholders of Polish ePayments on the company’s acquisition by the Danish Nets group from Innova Capital and OPTeam.

The value of the transaction, which may be finalized once it is approved by the relevant regulatory authorities and is anticipated to occur in the third quarter of this year, is estimated at EUR 405 million (PLN 1.77 billion). This is one of the largest transactions in the history of the Polish payment services market and another step in strengthening Nets’ position in Poland.

Polish ePayments specialises in processing cashless payments and providing businesses with innovative solutions, ensuring the handling of card payments and providing a range of other services through POS terminals and online. Polish ePayments is among the top-five card payment processors on the Polish market.

Jakub Jędrzejak (partner and head of the firm’s M&A practice) led the team of lawyers, with support from Katarzyna Kozak (senior associate), advising the Management Board and minority shareholders of Polish ePayments during the negotiation of the transaction documents.
