WKB Wierciński, Kwieciński, Baehr advised the Polish national women’s quadruple sculls team, consisting of Agnieszka Kobus-Zawojska, Maria Springwald, Marta Wieliczko, and Katarzyna Zillmann, in the negotiation and conclusion of a partnership agreement with Totalizator Sportowy.

Totalizator Sportowy, the owner of the LOTTO brand, is now the Official Partner of these Polish athletes. The company’s cooperation with the team will continue until the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. Under the partnership, the athletes will receive funds on the basis of a financing agreement, allowing them to focus on continuing to improve and participate in even more events, with a view to achieving the best results possible in their sport.
Agnieszka Kobus-Zawojska, Maria Springwald, Marta Wieliczko, and Katarzyna Zillmann are some of the most talented Polish rowers currently competing, and are, among other accolades, the winners of the gold medal in the women’s quadruple sculls event at the 2018 European Rowing Championships, held in Glasgow this August. Agnieszka Kobus-Zawojska and Maria Springwald also won the bronze medal (alongside Monika Ciaciuch and Joanna Leszczyńska) in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The Polish rowers were advised by Milena Bogdanowicz, counsel and member of WKB’s Intellectual Property and TMT team.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for both a successful cooperative relationship and the team’s continuing success in competition.
