We are pleased to announce that Agata Szczepańczyk-Piwek, legal counsel from Banking & Finance practice, has been promoted to counsel. Following the new year’s elevations of three new partners and one new counsel, this is the fifth consecutive promotion of a female lawyer at WKB in 2018.

In the latest edition of Chambers Global, an international legal directory, WKB is recommended in four categories: Banking & Finance, Corporate/M&A, Corporate/M&A: Desk based Abroad in Poland, and Dispute Resolution. Individual recommendations went to Andrzej Wierciński, Tomasz Kwieciński, Bartłomiej Jankowski, Jakub Jędrzejak, Marcin Smolarek and Domenico Di Bisceglie.
WKB has joined a group of leading law firms in cooperating with the Polish Association of Corporate Lawyers, a prestigious organisation comprised of the heads of legal departments of important Polish enterprises.
WKB lawyers have assisted in the consolidation of Operator Logistyczny Paliw Plynnych (OLPP), the biggest fuel storage operator, and PERN, which operates pipeline networks transporting oil for the largest fuel producers. The merger is of key importance from the point of view of the national energy security.
