WKB assisted Stena Metall in acquisition of IL Recycling, a total waste management supplier of recycling services, with operations in Sweden and Poland
By this acquisition Stena Metall Group, who offers recycling services in five geographical markets through various companies operating under the Stena Recycling name, is developing its market position.
It has been yet another international transaction in which WKB acted as a local counsel, offering comprehensive support with regard to Polish legal aspects of the deal.
WKB acts as a strategic partner of the educational campaign For better data flow – practicing effective transactions
The second edition of the campaign is dedicated to restructuring processes. As part of this initiative, a group of selected experts developed the Code of Good Practices in Restructuring, co-authored by Dr hab. Andrzej Wierciński who is also a member of the campaign’s Programme Council.
WKB acted as local Polish counsel to Naspers (which is the owner of Allegro among other things) on its $15,000,000 investment in the social learning network known as Brainly which started in Poland. Currently, it has around 60,000,000 users, and the funds from the new investment will boost its development further (the aim is to reach 100,000,000 users). The lead counsel to Naspers was Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP (New York office).
